We love our guests and we want you to feel right at home!

Attending a church for the first time can be daunting, especially if you don't know what to expect. We really value everyone who comes to EBC and desire to make your time with us positive and worthwhile. If you come along on a Sunday morning, you will be greeted by our Welcome Team in the foyer who will be there to greet you, grab you a tea or a coffee, and point you in the right direction.

The following should give you a better idea of what to expect,

but if you have any questions, please get in touch!

Sunday Gatherings

What does a Sunday gathering look like?

Every Sunday starts with tea and coffee available from 9.30am, giving us the chance to spend time together before our service begins at 10.00am. Each Sunday is unique, but generally we will spend time worshipping God through singing, prayer and Bible readings. Someone will announce any upcoming events and our children and young people are invited to spend some time in their own groups. One of our pastors or a guest speaker will preach a message from the Bible, sometimes as part of a series or theme or just as a one off. Regardless, prepare to be encouraged, challenged and inspired.

How long does a gathering last last?

Our time together usually lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes, finishing around 11.15am.

What happens afterwards?

You're really welcome to stay for tea and coffee after the service. We'd love to chat and get to know you a bit better. If you would like prayer, either of our pastors, leadership team or members from our prayer team will gladly spend time with you.

What do I wear?

Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in, whether that be shorts or jeans, shirts or hoodies, suits or dresses. We are an informal church and there is no dress code or expectation whatsoever.

How can I find out more about the Church?

If you're with us on a Sunday, fill out one of our information cards which can be found in the welcome pack which you will be given as you arrive. You can also chat to anyone from our staff team or our welcome team who will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Our building is fully accessible to those in wheelchairs and mobility scooters. We have a toilet with disabled access as well as parking spaces directly outside the building for those who need them. Copies of the songs lyrics in large print are available if you would like, and there is a loop sound system for those with hearing aids.

Children & Youth

Kids Church is our Sunday school for children aged between three and eleven years old. Each week we share a song, prayer time and learn about a bible story.

There are lots of opportunities for playing, games and crafts to help develop a deeper biblical understanding and friendship with one another.

Sunday Tribe is designed for those who are 12+ to help them learn more about God and what Christianity is all about. It is led by an enthusiastic team of leaders who want to share the Gospel with our young people in an age-appropriate way.

Our desire is to help each young person discover who Christ is and who they are in Him.

All of our volunteers who work with children and young people have got DBS checks.

Several of the team have undertaken safeguarding training too.
