Maintenance
The Aim: The aim of the Maintenance Team is to look after our premises well — ensuring the space is safe, functional, and welcoming. This includes everything from day-to-day upkeep to liaising with contractors and staying on top of safety checks and regulatory requirements.
More Information
-
This role covers the full site — the main church building and the cabins. Times are flexible depending on your availability, though some tasks (like safety checks or meeting contractors) may need to happen at specific times.
-
If you’re practical, reliable, and like getting stuck into hands-on tasks, this could be a great way for you to serve. You don’t need to be a qualified expert, but a bit of physical ability, a good eye for detail, and a willingness to pitch in all help. It’s also important to be a good communicator — especially when working with contractors or reporting back to the team. If you’re organised and can help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, we’d love to have you on board.
-
You’ll help care for and maintain the building and grounds — anything from fixing something that’s broken, to arranging safety checks, to helping track certificates or compliance. You’ll liaise with contractors when needed, keep the office updated about any issues, and help make sure everything stays safe, working, and in good shape.
It’s a role that’s often unseen but deeply appreciated — one that makes a big difference to how we serve our church and our community.
