Tasters 2012
Short 4 week courses in May, June and July open to everyone. Please fill in the sheet of ideas and put in the box at the back of church or send an email, so we can plan what to include in the programme.
Ladies’ Night
Friday 11th May at 7.30 pm in the hall. Summer desserts with Sharon. All ladies welcome!
Men’s Prayer meeting
Starting at 6 pm in the church Monday 14th May.
Prayer and Fasting Day
Wednesday 16th May with Prayer Meeting at 8.00 p.m.
Gift Day
Sunday 20th May. There will be a Bring and Share Lunch following the morning service.
Service of Memories
On Sunday May 20th at 3.30pm there will be an opportunity to remember with thanksgiving the lives of loved ones we have lost in recent years. This service includes prayers, music, readings, contemplation and verses from the Bible, all to help those who have been bereaved.
Chichester Canal Boat Trip
The Thursday afternoon fellowship are planning another trip on Chichester Canal including a cream tea on the boat on Thursday 14th June. If you are interested please contact the Church office as soon as possible. A deposit of £5 (approximately half the cost) is required.
Sunday evenings at Emsworth Baptist Church
Over the coming months we are presenting a series of special Sunday evening and afternoon meetings.
- Reel Time - Explore life through film and discussion.
- Oasis reflection - Peace, prayers and readings for contemplative worship.
- Songs of Praise - Favourite hymns and songs, interviews and varied contributions. These are held at 3:30 p.m.
- Shared meal and communion - Increase our fellowship with the Lord and each other.
- Focus on a single important issue.
- Lead on - Interactive teaching for deeper discipleship.
