WelcomeYou've reached the home page of Emsworth Baptist Church. Emsworth Baptist Church is located in the heart of Emsworth on the south coast of England between Portsmouth and Chichester. We are a growing family church serving the Lord in our community and further afield. In addition to regular Sunday worship there is an active mid-week programme. Sunday ServicesPlease feel free to join us for worship each Sunday. The morning service starts at 10:30 a.m. and the evening service at 6:30 p.m. We are always happy to welcome newcomers and visitors. The style of service ranges from the quiet contemplative to energetic music based worship. The music groups that support our services each Sunday comprise of 3 to 5 piece bands with lead and supporting singers. We praise the Lord through strong Bible led worship, through prayer, and through song and drama. For younger members of the congregation, there is an active Junior Church. Communion is served twice monthly. Following the morning service, tea and coffee is served. This is a good time to get to know other members of the congregation. If you are a visitor to the area, there is always someone at hand that will be able to tell you about the history of Emsworth and suggest interesting places to visit. Today's Prayer SuggestionDear Lord, just as a potter must have moist and malleable clay to shape his vessels, so too, You need me to be pliable if You are to mould me according to Your will. Oh Lord, help me to yield myself entirely. Melt me, mould me, fill me, use me. Spirit of the Living God, fall anew on me. Only then can I go forth in the name of the Father, to celebrate His sovereignty; in the name of His Son; to proclaim His message; and in the name of the Holy Spirit, empowered to serve. Bible reading Jeremiah 18:1-4 Thought for the DayIn times of stress we are tested, not in the good times. Lord, remove my doubts and help me turn my times of turmoil into times of spiritual growth |
